1829.  May 14thAt a Vestry held this day at the
Parish Church
Present W.D. Poole,  Overseer
William Scott
J Arnatt
J Tredwell
W’m Thew
A Durrant
Tho’s Malsbury
It was unanimously agreed to take those Men hitherto
employed in digging land for the benefit of the Parish
to dig up for cultivation another piece of Arable land, and
that all Men employed thereon shall work from Seven
in the morning till five o’clock in the evening, and it was
also further agreed not to employ any of the young unmarried
men at the expense of the Parish, and that Mr W’m Coaney be
deputed to purchase 5 qrs  Oats to Sow the Said piece of Arable Land.
Complaints  as under.
Tho’s Smith apply by his Mother to have the
Sixpence Ye week taken from his weekly Allow’ce
last week Ye order of Vestry continued

William Bloxham sick & unable to work 3/ Ye wk to be allowed

W’m Kemp applies to have the shilling

unable to work to support himself
